Shoe Care Innovations's Chairman, Allan Ullman, unfortunately has onychomycosis (toenail fungus). After trying popular oral anti-fungal medicines three different times, with the infection coming back each time, he asked his podiatrist if he was potentially re-infecting his feet from his shoes. His podiatrist said "yes." This is what brought about the invention of the SteriShoe® shoe sanitizer and the formation of Shoe Care Innovations, Inc.
Adam Ullman (Allan's son), an inventor and entrepreneur himself, has undertaken the responsibility of developing the SteriShoe® ultraviolet shoe sanitizer and building Shoe Care Innovations ("SCI"). In December of 2008, SCI began shipping the SteriShoe® shoe sanitizer to its first customers.
Our goal has been to provide a product that is proven in science so it will deliver as claimed. We have conducted clinical studies and continue to work directly with doctors and researchers to deliver the best product possible.
